If you’re showing FIFA World Cup 26™ matches publicly (at bars, restaurants, community centres, or outdoor spaces), your event must follow FIFA World Cup 26™  guidelines. Burnaby suggests businesses focus on the Non-Commercial category: regular business operations showing matches as part of normal service, under 1,000 people, no ticket sales or sponsors, no FIFA license required, and no fee.

Yes! Tourism Burnaby has launched a Watch Party Grant Program to help local restaurants and bars host welcoming soccer watch parties during tournament season. The program supports venues in becoming gathering places for fans, celebrates Burnaby’s multicultural communities, helps cover hosting costs, and promotes participating businesses.

Businesses cannot use any FIFA World Cup 26™  intellectual property, which is reserved exclusively for official FIFA World Cup 26™  partners and sponsors. This includes all FIFA World Cup 26™  wordmarks (“FIFA,” “World Cup,” “FIFA World Cup 26™”), logos (tournament logo, Host City logo), visuals (trophy, mascot, match ball, official designs), slogans (“We Are 26,” “We Are Vancouver,” “We are a Force of Nature”), event names (“FIFA Fan Festival™,” “Trophy Tour”), player likenesses, or national team jerseys. You cannot suggest official partnership, sell FIFA-branded merchandise, or advertise “watch FIFA World Cup 26™ matches here” without approval. These restrictions apply across all your communications: signage, social media, websites, emails, menus, promotional materials, and any other customer touchpoint.

Not unless you’re a rights holder or Commercial Partner. You may hear about ”FIFA Intellectual Property (IP). This refers to Official FIFA-owned trademarks and branding, including the FIFA World Cup 26™ logo, wordmarks, slogans, mascots, emblems, and other protected visual elements. These assets are strictly controlled and may only be used with FIFA’s written authorization. FIFA’s IP is reserved exclusively for FIFA rights holders and Commercial Partners. This includes: FIFA Partners, FIFA World Cup Sponsors and FIFA World Cup Tournament, FIFA World Cup 26™ Host City Supporters and Promotional Partners, e.g. Destination BC and Destination Vancouver, and FIFA World Cup 26™ Host City Government Funding Partners.
